I’ve talked about Home Renovation in the past, but my latest assignment is going to be bigger than just one home. My next project is for a property developer who has purchased a derelict office building in Brighton. The plan for the site is to convert the building into five separate flats that will be available for rental to students.
I have already visited the site and it is one of the old style Georgian buildings that has wonderful features that are Interior Design heaven! The last few years have not been kind to this building, the windows have been boarded over and squatters have been using it as a home. Renovation will be difficult given the condition and it has to be completed by September.
Given the great position of the building near the seafront in Brighton, there shouldn’t be any problems renting the flats once it is finished. Each of the apartments will be decorated with bright colours. The ideas I am working on for the initial designs are in vivid primary colours. The plans include curtains, lighting, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms…
I am still working on my other home renovation projects, the bathroom in Crawley and the second bathroom in the 17th Century home. Sussex seems to be full of bathroom renovations!. Both are progressing and will be completed very soon.
